Jose "Cris" Torres is a dedicated Nurse Practitioner certified in primary care with a specialty in geriatric care. Cris’ career in nursing began in 2009 at St Joseph Medical Center, where he initially worked on the Medical Surgical floor before transitioning to the float pool in 2012. Cris has diverse experience across various departments, including Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Emergency Department (ED), Interventional Radiology, Infection Control, Skilled Nursing Facility/Rehab, Cardiac Cath Lab, Day Surgery, Endoscopy, and Post-Operative care
Education
Cris earned his Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Post University in 2019, graduating with highest honors and being inducted into the university's honor society. He earned his MSN in nursing in 2023. In July 2023, Cris received his certification from the American Academy of nurse practitioners for adult gerontology
